Boone’s Backyard was created with one big dog and one big dream in mind. Our mission? To build a pet resort where guests feel as comfortable and cared for as they are at home.
Founded by Dr. Braden Cato, a veterinarian raised among a family of animal health professionals, and named after the doctor’s Harlequin Great Dane, Boone’s Backyard blends medical expertise with a deep and sincere love of pets big and small.
Here, every dog’s safety, happiness, and personality are top priorities.

About Dr. Braden Cato
“With six veterinarians in my family, caring for animals has always been my calling. My mission has always been to create strong connections with pets and their people, provide outstanding care, and empower owners through education.”
At home, Dr. Cato shares life with his daughter Kennedy, four beloved dogs (Boone the Great Dane, Scout, and Milo and Bambi, both Chihuahuas), two lively cats, and a handful of farm animals. Boone’s Backyard is an extension of the love and care they share at home and is now open to you.
